Kiwi Can is a values and life skills programme designed for primary and intermediate school students. Right now it reaches 15,000 children in 69 schools around the country (GO Kiwi Can!), delivering a range of awesome physical, mental and creative challenges - plus high-energy, fun, safe and interactive lessons that reinforce the schools' goals and curriculum.
Longford Intermediate takes part in this programme on Mondays weekly. Each class is locked into a time to head over to the MLT Centre to do these sessions. Sessions are 30 minutes long and generally consist of an energizer to warm up, activity (generally game based) and then a discussion about the topic. If there is time, generally some GKQ's (general knowledge questions). Our leaders for 2017 are Liam & Emily.
